Steps to follow:

Step 1. Gather your Supplies

- Clean, white cotton socks

- Fresh leaves (eucalyptus, marigold, etc.)

- Rubber bands or twine

- Large pot for staeming

- 1 Tbsp alum

 - Water

Step 2. Prepare Your Socks

- Soak the socks in a mixture of water and alum and boil for half an hour. 

- This helps the natural dyes set better.

 

Step 3. Choose Your Leaves

- Select fresh leaves with interesting shapes and textures. 

- Lay them on one sock in a design you like. Repeat the same for the other one. 


Step 4. Secure the Leaves

- Gently wrap the sock and tie with the thread to secure the leaves in place. 

- Make sure the leaves are pressed firmly against the socks fabric.


Step 5. Steam the Socks

- Place the prepared socks on a large pot with enough water to steam them.

- Let the socks steam for 1 hour


Step 6: Let the Socks Cool

- After steaming, turn off the heat and let the socks cool.


Step 7: Unwrap and Dry

Carefully remove the thread and gently peel off the leaves.

Step 8: Admire Your Eco-Printed Socks!

- Once dry, your eco-printed socks are ready to wear or gift. 

- Enjoy the natural beauty of your handmade creation! 🌿🧦
