Not sure how a kaftan will look on you?
That pause you’re feeling is very common.
Most first-time kaftan buyers like the garment, but hesitate because they can’t picture how it will sit on their body.
This page exists for that exact reason to help you understand the silhouette, the fall, and the feel, so you can decide without pressure.
First, let’s talk about the silhouette
A kaftan doesn’t fit the body the way most garments do.
It doesn’t shape the shoulders or define the waist.
It simply rests on the body and falls from there.
Because of this, the kaftan tends to feel easy on many bodies but it’s not for everyone. And that’s okay.
This Kaftan Will Likely Feel Right for You If:
-
You enjoy relaxed, unstructured silhouettes
-
You’re comfortable with drop shoulders or raglan-style sleeves
-
You prefer clothes that fall softly rather than cling
-
You value comfort and ease over a sharply tailored look
You May Want to Pause If:
-
You prefer fitted or highly structured garments
-
You like clothing that clearly defines the shoulders or waist
-
You feel unsure in loose or flowy styles
-
You’re looking for a formal, sharply cut outfit
Knowing what doesn’t work for you is just as important as knowing what does.
Still unsure? You don’t have to guess.
If you find yourself somewhere in between, we offer a Fit Trial Kaftan so you can experience the silhouette on your own body before deciding.
You can also choose to speak to us sometimes a short conversation helps more than reading.
What is a Fit Trial Kaftan?
A Fit Trial Kaftan is created only to help you understand the fall, length, and feel of the silhouette.
These trial pieces:
-
Are made in the same silhouette and measurements as our kaftans
-
Are kept specifically for fit testing
-
Are clearly marked as “Trial Piece”
-
Are meant only for trying at home and are not suitable for wearing outside
The intention is simple to help you see yourself in the kaftan, without any pressure to buy.
How the fit trial works:
-
We request ₹1000 for the fit trial
(this amount is fully adjusted if you go ahead with a purchase) -
We arrange both delivery and pick-up
-
You have 2 days to try the kaftan at home, at your own pace
-
If you choose not to go ahead with the purchase, that’s completely okay.
The trial amount is not refundable, as it covers the fit service and logistics involved.
While trying it, we suggest:
-
Pairing it with different bottoms — narrow, wide, short, and long
-
Taking your time, in a calm and comfortable space
-
Not rushing yourself to decide
This is not about wearing it perfectly.
It’s only about understanding how it feels on you.
And if after the trial you still feel unsure, that’s completely okay.
